10 Most-Watched YouTube Sketches From ‘SNL’ Season 50

Political sketches dominated another election year
10 Most-Watched YouTube Sketches From ‘SNL’ Season 50

Latin lover Ariana Grande sketch became the year’s most-watched within a week of its debut and stayed there for the rest of the season, ultimately piling up 19.1 million views so far.

The only other sketch to come close was Mike Myers’ first appearance as a rabid Elon Musk, with more than 17 million watches on YouTube. Both Domingo and Musk showed up in additional top 10 sketches from the season.

Predictably in an election year, political sketches dominated, with Trump-centric cold opens making up half of the top 10. And with all of the attention on Saturday Night Live’s 50th season, the show’s YouTube channel views mirrored the show’s climbing ratings, with eight sketches reaching the 10-million view mark. Only two of last year’s top 10 sketches, Ryan Gosling’s “Beavis and Butt-Head” and Pete Davidson’s “I’m Just Pete” would have landed on this year’s list.

Here are those sketches, as ranked by YouTube views…

Domingo: Bridesmaid Speech (19.1 million views)

Elon Musk Cold Open (17.1 million views)

Dave Chappelle’s (Longest-Ever!) Monologue (15.8 million views)

Harris and Trump Rallies Open (12.8 million views)

Family Feud Election 2024 Cold Open (12.7 million views)

2024 Pre-Election Cold Open featuring Kamala Harris(11.1 million views)

Washington’s Dream 2 (10.8 million views)

Domingo: Vow Renewal (10.7 million views)

Scared Straight (9.2 million views)
